Folding Napkins for Silverware
Silverware Roll
Its very common when folding dinner napkins to have them placed upon an empty plate. However it may look a little odd to do this and then not have used the plate. It can also look a bit untidy just having cutlery laid out on its own. The silverware roll is the perfect answer when laying a table.
Step one:
lay the Napkin out in front of you making sure that all tags, seams an labels are facing upwards.
Step two:
Fold the napkin in half diagonally.
Step three:
Place the napkin in front of you so the open point is facing away from you and the longest edge is nearest to you.
Step four:
Place your cutlery in the middle of the napkin against the bottom edge. This fold works best with a spoon, knife and fork. If you’re planning a 8 course meal that requires a 14 pieced cutlery set this is most definitely not the right time to use this.
Step five:
Fold the right hand side over so the folded edge just meets the cutlery.
Step six:
Do the same for the left hand side.
Step seven:
With both hands roll the napkin around the cutlery nice and tight to ensure that it holds.
